Glow in the Park Lantern Walk——September 15th, 2024

Get ready to light up the night at Glow in the Park!

The Glen Ellyn Park District and Charlie’s Corner Foundation are partnering to offer this exciting evening of family activities benefiting Lurie Children’s Hospital from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday, September 15th at Lake Ellyn Park.

Start the evening enjoying face painting, a balloon artist, live music, and much more!

At 7:15pm, watch or march in the illuminated paper lantern walk around the lake.

Decorate a lantern for the walk on site, or bring your own ready to go! There is a $10 fee per lantern to decorate a lantern on-site (while supplies last; cash only).

Food will also be available for purchase. Glow in the Park is free to attend, but cash donations to Lurie Children’s are encouraged.

If you wish to make a donation online, please visit:

Lantern kits, which include a paper lantern shade, LED light, and carrying stick, can also be purchased in advance at Main Street Recreation Center in Glen Ellyn to decorate at home.

Parking is available on the streets surrounding Lake Ellyn Park. Please be sure to follow posted signage. Additional parking is available in the Glenbard West parking lot across from Duchon Field and in the Metra commuter lots in downtown Glen Ellyn.
